RESPECT

Respect is an essential part of our life and without it many rights can be lost and taken from us. We need the sense of strength and control to deal with the different situation in life. The value of respect might be taken for granted by some people.

Everybody need to treat the others with a kind heart and talk to them with an open mind and respect their opinion and perspectives. Parents must teach their kids about respect from early ages so they would grow up to be a productive and respectful part of the community. The teacher also plays an important role in providing the proper education for our children. They work hard to lead them in the right direction and in return the teacher must be treated with respect for their effort.

However, nowadays many students do not appreciate the hard work of the teachers and act rudely towards them. Most of the students are not afraid to talk back to the teachers. After all teachers are people like us and a major part of the community, carrying a great burden of producing a bright future for humanity. So we should respect our teachers.

PHOTOGRAPHY INTERVIEW

Interview with Ali Al Dhaheri

1.What is it that interests you most about photography?
Travelling to go to the most remote locations where I can get an angle of the photo which others cant see interests me, because this is how you end up taking a different shot than the usual point and shoot. Also, the technique of making a bad photo look good using different photo softwares, takes intense long time, but when I see the end result comparing the edited shot with the unedited, I always feel like giving myself a pat on the back.

2. How long have you loved photography? Have you loved it all your life?
I have been a photography lover since childhood, it was not a serious obsession back then, I would only do point and shoot photography at family gatherings or picnics.

3.As a photographer do you find yourself always looking at the world wondering how it would look as a photograph?
Yes ofcourse, every photograph is a photographer’s Eye, what you see in a photo is what the photographer sees, then captures. Wherever I go or whatever I see, I always wonder from which angle would the places look good, or can I get a good photo of what I see, that’s how a photographer thinks then shoots.

4.Now everybody has a digital camera but the question is that How do you become a photographer? Is there any certain degree you need to become successful in the field?
Digital cameras have made photography very easy these days, almost everyone seems to have become a photographer with the Auto camera modes these days, which doesn’t require much hard work when taking photos.
There’s no certain degree or limit to end of photography, it’s endless and you will keep discovering new stuff the more you practice it. A successful photographer knows how to make situations look easy, take shots which a normal photographer could never think of taking, that’s what makes a successful photographer stand out from the crowd. Also you become a successful photographer when you know how and when to use all kinds of different camera lens.

5.What would be some tips you would give to a beginning photographer?
Photography is easy, it’s the Editing part that’s makes wonders.
Photography takes 30%, the angle you choose to shoot a photo takes 20%, but the rest 50% depends on your editing skills.

My advice for all beginners would be to practice, practice & practice, because that’s what makes you perfect in the end. Also to have an obsession of photography always, not just take interest and leave it in middle, that’s where you’ll lose lots of your skills and will have to start once again from the start. Also, ditch the Auto and P modes and focus your practice on M mode.
