Visit to AL-Watan TV


 
On Sunday 23rd Dec.2012 Ms Najla ALShoraian journalism class went on a field trip to AL-Watan TV. The first stop was in the programme control room where the director sends his orders, and where the sound engineer controls the sounds. Then students were taken to the TX room which was the main control to the channel as the engineer makes sure that the sound and colour are in good condition to avoid any mistakes when it’s broadcasted. Then they were led to the news department. They had their own control room which provides controlling the lights, colour and soundproof to avoid any distraction they prepared the news reports which should not exceed than two minutes and a half, and then they had a look at the news room which broadcasted news. Later, the students made an interview with Amar Marafie in English which was part of their curriculum. Finally, they sang The National Anthem in English live on TV (Sabah Al Watan).






Muneera said, “It was a great expierence for us, we now realize how hard it is to work in this field, and the effort put among the staff.”
